About me

Editor by training, writer by passion.

I wanted to be a detective at 11, neurosurgeon at 13 and politician at 16. I went on to study English Literature at Delhi University, International Development at the University of East Anglia and became a journalist instead. Sometimes I think I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up – but that thought doesn’t keep me awake at night.

I have been editing and writing professionally for over 18 years, across digital and print media platforms. I quit mainstream journalism in mid-2019 and now freelance with a Swedish start-up Up Strategy Lab, which is a great place to be.

I’ve worked in Delhi and Mumbai. Don’t ask me to pick one city over the other. I love and hate both of them equally.

I now work out of both Delhi and Goa, but you might also find me in London, Gothenburg or Canberra. If you’d like to read more about where I come from, a question I’m frequently asked, click here.

If you are looking for an editor or writer, visit my LinkedIn profile for a summary of my professional experience. If you like what you see, get in touch on Upwork or Twitter.

On this site, you will find some of my travel blogs as well as some writing I’ve done for the Hindustan Times and DNA newspapers. I keep meaning to update this site more often, but always find more important things to do 😉
